Bestminton Champions #4 Tournament has come to a great end. We had a lot of great games, made new friends, and plenty of stories.
Here are a few we’d love to share.
The special team
This time, there was a very special team joining the tournament: Mom & Son.

The kid is still in secondary school, but honestly, he’s really good. They often join our Saturday sessions, so they know all of us—including many of the players competing in the tournament.
To be completely objective, Mom isn’t as strong as some of the other players. The day before the tournament, she said to us:
“We’re gonna die tomorrow.” 😅
But they still showed up.
And that’s what we truly appreciate—and one of the main reasons we host this tournament.
It’s not just about competition. It’s an event where people can connect, no matter how well they play.
Because anyone who has the courage to step onto the court genuinely deserves a huge shoutout and appreciation.
Good player

Kelly is one of the strongest female players in our club. She’s been on the podium in most tournaments she’s joined.
Logically, she could choose her partner very carefully. She’s in a position where she can do that—and if she did, she could probably keep her podium streak going.
But this time, we saw her play with a friend instead. She really enjoyed the tournament—even though she didn’t win the championship like she usually does.
People like Kelly have this amazing ability to make others around them feel comfortable, confident, and safe—maybe even inspired—just by being there.
It reminds us of a quote from Coach Carter:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were all meant to shine, as children do. It is not just in some of us – it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others”
Just think about it.
A regular-level player getting the chance to play with one of the best players. Isn’t that cool? That moment could easily become a beautiful memory for everyone involved.
Because at the end of the day, we all laugh, struggle, and cry over epic rallies, and then share tons of stories at the after-party.
Honestly, that’s our favorite part.
That’s the best thing badminton, running, or any sport can give us.
We also had friends joining us from Đồng Nai, Tây Ninh, and Bình Dương.
We trully appreciate you coming and being part of the tournament.
See you next time!
